Simplink lets you operate devices connected to the LG TV using a single remote. Thus, there is no need to keep a separate remote to control a streaming device, gaming console, set-top box, and soundbar. In this article, we will show you how to enable and disable Simplink on an LG Smart TV.
How to Turn On or Off Simplink on LG Smart TV [webOS 6.0 or Higher]
1. Press the Settings button on the Magic Remote.
2. Choose All Settings and select the option General.
3. Tap Devices. Then, locate and select the option HDMI Settings.
4. Click Simplink (HDMI-CEC) and turn the toggle ON or OFF based on your preference.
The steps to enable or disable Simplink will vary depending on the webOS version. If you have one of the below webOS models, refer to the steps below to turn it on or off.
For webOS 4.5 and webOS 5.0 models:
Go to All Settings → Connection → Device Connection Settings → Simplink (HDMI-CEC) → Turn it ON or OFF.
For webOS 4.0 and earlier models:
Navigate to All Settings → General → Simplink (HDMI-CEC) → Turn it ON or OFF.

Unfortunately, there is no official source regarding the availability of Simplink in the NetCast OS versions of LG TVs. As per LG’s official website, Simplink is available on the newer LG TVs that run webOS.
Unplug the HDMI cable from the TV and external device ports. Wait for a minute. Reconnect the HDMI cable back into the port to fix the error.
