Kayo on LG Smart TV: How to Install & Stream Live Sports

If you are a sports lover, Kayo Sports is the right platform for watching sports events. It is an Australian streaming platform from Streamotion where you can watch live sports channels, including Fox Sports News, Spots Cricket, ESPN, ESPN2, beIN Sports 1, beIN Sports 2, beIN Sports 3, and Racing.com. Moreover, it streams most of your favorite sports, highlights, key points on matches, and sports news. Now, Kayo Sports is officially available on LG Smart TV.

On Kayo, we have two subscription plans:

  • Basic Plan: Costs $25 a month and lets you stream from two devices at the same time.
  • Premium Plan: Costs $35 per month. You can stream from 3 devices at once.

How to Install Kayo on LG TV

Currently, Kay Sports supports only LG TV 2018 or newer model TV running WebOS 4 and above. LG Netcast TVs do not support Kayo sports.

[1] Turn on your LG Smart TV and connect it to a WiFi network

[2] Press the Home button on the TV remote to launch the home screen of the TV.

[3] Select the LG Content Store using the navigational keys on your remote and click on the Search icon.

[4] Type Kayo Sports using the virtual keyboard and choose the app from the list of apps displayed on the search result.

[5] Hit the Install button to install the app on your TV.

[6] After installing, launch the app and click the Sign In button.

[7] An activation code will display on your TV screen. Make a note of it. Now, scan the QR code with your smartphone camera.

[8] Open the web browser on your PC or smartphone, and visit the Kayo Activation site (auth.streamotion.com.au/activate).

[9] Enter the given code in the respective box and follow the instructions.

[10] Upon activating, you can start to stream Kayo Sports on LG Smart TV.

Alternative Ways to Watch Kayo on LG TV

If you’re using the older model LG TV or are not interested in downloading the apps on LG TV, you can use any of the following methods to watch your favorite sports content.

How to Cast Kayo on LG Smart TV

Sadly, the built-in cast support is not available for the LG Smart TV models. However, you can connect Chromecast or Google Chromecast devices to cast Kayo content to your TV.

[1] Plug the Google Chromecast into the LG TV’s HDMI port and turn on your TV.

[2] Connect your LG TV to WIFI, which should be the same as your Android smartphone.

[3] Install the Kayo Sports app on your smartphone from the Play Store.

[4] After the installation, open the Kayo app and Sign in to your Kayo account.

[5] Play any content from the library and click the Cast icon.

[6] Select your Chromecast-connected TV name from the list of devices.

[7] Now, the selected content starts casting on your LG Smart TV.

How to Screen Mirror Kayo to LG Smart TV

[1]Turn on LG TV and enable the AirPlay feature.

[2] Ensure to connect your LG TV and iOS devices to the same WiFi network.

[3] Download the Kayo Sports app on your from the App Store of your iOS device.

[4] Launch the app and Sign in with your account credentials.

[5] Select and play the video that you need to stream on your LG smart TV.

[6] Swipe down from the top right corner to open the Control Center of the iOS.

[7] Hit the Screen Mirroring option and select your LG TV from the available devices.

[8] Now, the content on your iOS device will start to mirror on the LG smart TV.

How to Watch Kayo Sports on LG Smart TV using Streaming Devices

With the help of streaming devices, you can turn your normal TV into a smart TV. Most of the streaming devices are compatible with the Kayo Sports app. The popular streaming devices which are compatible with Kayo Sports are mentioned below.

Why is Kayo not working on my LG TV?

If Kayo Sports is not working on the LG TV, it may be because of unstable internet or outdated firmware or app, etc. You should check your internet connection, reboot your LG TV, update the Kayo app or re-install the app to fix the issue.
